For this week, you will have read Chapter 12 in your text and reflected on family and community involvement. For this assignment, reflect on what you have learned about collaboration, a critical element of quality programming. Using research you have previously conducted and that you will compile, develop a training PowerPoint presentation for your center’s staff that presents a well-thought-out plan for the building of staff and family relationships and communication. Your PowerPoint presentation should include: •An explanation of how families will be welcomed into the program including program tours and orientation. •Define how they will be informed of day-to-day happenings and the structure and content of parent conferences. (Remember to use on-line outreach.) •Identify how they will be informed of staff/family monthly communications. •Define the role of the director in the formulation and implementation of this plan. Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists. Support your presentation with at least five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included. Length: 10-12 (with a separate reference slide) Notes Length: 150-200 words for each slide Tips: You can get help using PowerPoint “Notes” through the “help” function of PowerPoint. If you save the presentation as a webpage, your notes automatically display. Your notes can fill the role of the speaker, giving your audience the background and details that a speaker would provide during a live presentation. Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your presentation should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Review APA Form and Style.
