Critical Literacy Instruction in Race, Class, and Gender

Critical Literacy Instruction in Race, Class, and Gender

Cinderella, Aladdin, and Alice in Wonderland assigned one story for each topic on race, class, or gender perspective (i.e. Cinderella could be class). The majority of the paper will discuss the texts, and the features and storylines that make these texts strong candidates for critical literacy instruction. The paper should incorporate the theory and pedagogy and detail how the student would integrate these texts into a school curriculum.
