There are some leadership styles that a good leader should adopt in any organization so that the company can be able to achieve long term and short term goals. According to the above scenario, the workers were not happy with the general manager and some of the workers ready to leave the organization. In such kind of a situation, the best leadership style to be adopted is social leadership. The main reason to choose the leadership style is that it provides and ensures that the relationship between the employees and the employer is maintained. The method brings some benefits in the organization such as maximization of profits and promoting a healthy relationship between the workers and the employer. It also allows flexibility in decision making which are based on the needs of the organization and the requirements of the workers. The workers are also entitled to present their views to the management. The workers and the administration can reach and attain a proper solution in case a problem happened to the organization.

The general manager was only appointed in the organization because the owner of the company needed a leader to guide the rest of the team. Unfortunately, the worker was not satisfied with the kind of leadership that was portrayed by their new leader. Brad Howser was the appointed general manager of the organization and followed the autocratic leadership style. The leadership style only requires the workers to obey and listen to the direction of the managers. The workers were denied the right to participate or make any contributions regarding the running of the organization. The workers were also locked out being part of the team since they have no power to make any view regarding the operation of the company. Besides, solving problems in the organization became a tough task due to the inflexible leader who dedicated all the powers to his position. The action encouraged a conflict of interest in the organization. The leadership style was only aimed at promoting maximization of profits in the organization, and it excludes employee participation and satisfaction. The employees wanted to leave from the organization because they felt that the organization is only concerned with achieving goals instead of involving and valuing the contributions of the workers.

In consideration of my leadership style, I would adopt a democratic leadership style in the organization. The technique will provide a platform where the employees will be given a priority along with achieving the goals and objectives of the organization. Under this kind of leadership, the employees will be given a chance to participate in decision making in the organization. It means that the leading powers in this style will be decentralized and everyone will fell as part of the governing team. The only distinction between the workers and the manager will be kind of respect that exists. The style also ensures the facts of equity and equality among the whole staff without any form of discrimination. Autocratic leadership discourages the workers in giving their best to the organization. The leadership style may also lead to the collapse of the organization because the workers will be leaving the organization to look for better leadership management.  A good leader should be honest to the workers since they are the one that determined the position and reputation of the organization.  Leaders should also be courageous, competent and creative. The adoption of these values will help the leader to be fair to workers, and as a result, a democratic leader is developed in the organization. Democratic leadership also ensures the unity and prosperity of the organization.
