Sometimes people speak, but very few people actually listen. His message reflects on the mistakes that people make when speaking, which prevent people from hearing . Through these responses, the audience provides feedback to the speaker.

According to Treasure (n.p), the seven mistakes that people make include gossips, judging, negativity, complaining, excuses, lying, and dogmatism. These are the things that inhibit the effectiveness of a communication process. According to Treasure (n.p), some of the strategies to improve the process include honesty, authenticity, integrity, and love. These elements enable the speaker to capture the audience’s attention.

Treasure delivers a wonderful presentation that leaves the audience wanting to listen more. I want to listen to him again due to his outstanding communication skills. I learned that for effective communication, the listeners must avoid any interference to get the right message. The speaker clearly outlined his purpose by giving the audience the topi that he intends to discuss.

The presentation is a precise combination of the elements of speech. The speaker presents the message in a clear and concise manner. The speaker’s technique allows the audience to provide proper feedback. Treasure actualizes the methods in that he ins message to capture the audience’s attention.
