You have learned there has been leadership in the area of anti-bias early childhood education. A variety of resources has been developed for use by early childhood professionals. Furthermore, it is important to remain current about multicultural, anti-bias resources by accessing new research and information about multicultural, anti-bias materials. Once accessed, document accessed resources in a toolkit. It will be in this assignment you can start or add to your toolkit. Complete the reading for this assignment with a focus on analyzing and critiquing resources for developing a multicultural classroom. For this assignment, you will develop a toolkit of developmentally-appropriate, multicultural resources by creating a chart in which you critique and analyze the resources you access. You will respond to the following assignment instructions. Create a chart that includes three columns: 1) Name of Resource; 2) Explanation of Resource; and 3) Critique of Usefulness of Resource. The first type of resource will be early childhood and multicultural professional organizations. You will analyze at least two early childhood professional organizations and at least two multicultural professional organizations. The second type of resource will be two professional books that will support and enhance your understanding of developmentally-appropriate, multicultural, anti-bias classrooms. (Provide an APA citation and critique of the usefulness of each book.) The third type of resource will be two scholarly articles that will support and enhance your understanding of developmentally-appropriate, multicultural, anti-bias classrooms. (Provide an APA citation and critique of the usefulness of each article.) The fourth type of resource will be two multicultural, anti-bias books for an infant/toddler classroom, two multicultural, anti-bias books for a preschool classroom, and two multicultural, anti-bias books for a first-grade classroom. (Name and critique the usefulness of each book.) The fifth type of resource will be three companies that sell multicultural, anti-bias classroom materials. (Name the companies, provide contact information for the companies, list multicultural/anti-bias for each material and critique their usefulness in a classroom.) In a minimum of two paragraphs, explain what you learned from this assignment and why it was important for you to do this assignment. At the end of the paragraphs, include References for this assignment. Length: Chart of at least 2 pages, narrative of at least two paragraphs and References References: Minimum of three scholarly resources including the text and other professional resources (professional organization websites, government websites, etc.) Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
