The main project for this course involves developing a proposal for a specific type of community-based group. Examples of various types of groups are identified in chapters 10 and 11 in the textbook. The group proposal must address all five (5) areas of consideration that are discussed in Chapter 5 of the textbook. Your entry should demonstrate critical thinking and insight and must answer each question comprehensively and in depth (such as a paragraph or more per question). The project milestone for this week is to address the goals and objectives for the group (see chapter 5): Based on the purpose(s) you identified for the group last week, establish at least three (3) specific goals for the group to accomplish. Goals are main outcomes or results, which are normally expressed in one, concise sentence. Also, explain the reasons you chose these particular goals in detail. Identify at least three (3) specific objectives for each goal. Objectives are actions or activities that will take place in group to help to accomplish a goal. Be specific and detailed in your descriptions. Describe in detail how accomplishing these goals and objectives will benefit group members and/or others.
