This week, we will begin the course project that will be due in Week 7. Review the full instructions for the Course Project (located in Week 7) before working on this milestone activity.
The project has 3 milestones:
Week 3: Proposal
Week 5: Annotated Bibliography
Week 7: Final Paper
This week, create a proposal that references 1 scholarly source for the research project you intend to complete.
Locate and describe a central controversy that requires deft and subtle handling.
Include an introduction and thesis (that would work for the Week 7 Course Project) to the best extent that you know it at this point in time.
A title page is not needed.

The Abortion Rights Controversy
Abortion still remains to be among the most provocative and controversial topics in society today. The process of abortion entails the termination of pregnancy, which results in the death of the fetus or embryo. There are people that view abortion as a justifiable action while others view it as murder. Those that consider it to be justifiable believe that the[cmppp_restricted] unborn child is not a person. There are numerous points of view when it comes to this issue hence making it one of the issues that are problematic to call either wrong or right (Hull et al., 2018). This has resulted in a societal divide where there exists people that are pro-life and the others pro-choice.
Most people that are pro-life are normally guided by religion. According to this group, in the bible, an embryo is considered to be a baby hence its elimination can be termed as murder(Hull et al., 2018). Regardless of the stage of pregnancy, a fertilized woman is considered to be carrying a child.
When it comes to pro-choice followers, the right of a woman on deciding whether to keep the baby or not takes center stage. There is the argument that a woman has a right to privacy and hence, what she does with her reproductive system is her choice and not an issue of government ruling. Pro-choice consider a fetus to be part of a woman’s body; hence, the abortion decision should rest with her(Hull et al., 2018). Being a woman’s property, therefore, she ought to have the right of deciding whether to abort or keep the pregnancy.
All in all, despite the pro-choice arguments that the right to terminate a pregnancy rests with the woman, this is something that results in ending a life and can be regarded as murder.
