Thank you for your time Scenario: St. Anthony Medical Center’s leadership team is interested in your analysis, plan, action steps, and recommendations. They have scheduled five minutes for your presentation on the C-Suite calendar. The marketing director has suggested that you include an appendix slide to your presentation that tells how you will implement the action steps, and who will be involved in execution of the proposed plan. By providing the suggested project management timeline, you will demonstrate leadership and position yourself as an obvious choice for involvement in the new initiative. Consider the visibility and networking opportunities for your career development that may result from this presentation—it may be the first time you have presented to the C-suite team! Your marketing director has asked you to record a narrated PowerPoint presentation for review before the actual leadership meeting. PowerPoint Presentation Develop a PowerPoint presentation of your marketing plan that addresses all of the following areas of concern: A synopsis of the external and internal environments. Your labor and delivery service line marketing communication strategies—you must include the identification and use of a variety of marketing channels (social media, et cetera) that reach the organization’s targeted customer segments. A conceptual-level approach. An action plan with associated costs. A final recommendation with rationale. Addendum: Project implementation timeline. To promote buy-in for your marketing plan, you will need to provide a project implementation timeline with proposed leaders and performance measures for each task. Finally, remember to present a persuasive case built on inclusion of evidence-based literature, model programs, and current environmental factors, including competitor activity. Audio Recording Use Kaltura, or another faculty-approved alternative technology, to record yourself presenting the PowerPoint slides for your marketing plan. Before you begin recording, you may find it beneficial to write a script or detailed outline that you can refer to as you record. Your recorded presentation should be no more than five minutes in length. Include the notes or script of your audio recording. You may choose to include this in the form of the completed Notes sections of the PowerPoint presentations slides, as a script you may have used when you created your recording, or in the form of a detailed outline. This will serve to clarify any insufficient or unclear audio. Note: If your notes are not included within the PowerPoint presentation itself, attach them in a separate document along with the other presentation elements. Tips for Success For a successful PowerPoint presentation to a C-suite audience, closely follow the steps below: Construct the internal and external analyses by presenting the information in two tables. Present gap analysis of desired versus actual performance (profit, number of deliveries, other). Propose market segments and associated marketing communications channels to reach each segment. Conduct a cost-benefit analysis of your proposed marketing interventions. Propose a final recommendation with rationale for your cost-benefit analysis. Note: Distinguished performance will include the analysis of three alternatives: a 10,000-dollar annual marketing budget, a –10-percent budget, and a +10-percent budget. Additional Requirements Your assessment should meet the following requirements: Written communication: Written communication should be free from errors that detract from the overall message. APA format: Resources and citations should be formatted according to APA style and formatting guidelines. Number of resources: At least one APA-formatted in-text citation and accompanying, congruent APA-formatted reference. Length: The PowerPoint presentation should contain 8–12 slides. Duration of audio recording: Maximum of five minutes. Font and font size: Arial, 18-point font or above for headings and explanatory text, and 24-point and above for slide titles.
