Medical Instructions in the Home Setting

The readability level of the patient education read at 11.30 with an extra or minus 1.05. Moreover, the minimum readability levels were 9th grade and 11th grade. The readability level discloses that the patient had a high readability level. This means that the information among patients had a good level of literacy. Readability level is essential towards promoting and sustaining health. It also ensures a patient’s self-care.

The education of the patient entails the information delivery in a manner that the desires of an individual’s knowledge is well coordinated to attain good health, reduced expenses such as in the medication education and health to enhance the standards of the patient’s well-being. When patients have the proper education documents and go with them at their respective homes, the papers should be in an effective grade level as patients who have low literacy in health may not understand the information (Ryu & Paul, 2016). Higher readability level indicates difficulty in reading and following the instructions and information given by the physician.

Poor adherence to the physician’s instruction is also a barrier toward effective treatment. The poor adherence entails the degree of a patient taking medication. This majorly occurs when patients start doubting the drug over their side impacts (Amadi, 2016). It also happens when the directions by physicians are not well communicated by the physician to the patient. Non-adherence to medication can also be due to a negative attitude by the patient toward the drug and its known misconceptions. However, to control the compliance of patients in medication, there is need to schedule programs aimed at following up with the patient before they are discharged from the facility so that their conformity to the medicine is not manipulated.
