The Patient Affordable Care Act

The passage of the Patient Affordable Care Act made changes to certain special interest groups. For example patients with disabilities can no longer be refused health insurance coverage. In your opinion, do these changes to the health care system benefit patients?

In my opinion, the changes to the health care system benefit patients with disability. Individuals who qualify for Medicare coverage based on disability enjoy access and guarantee to health insurance cover. Similarly, patients will have no annual or lifetime limits on health care services that are covered (Center for Medicare Advocacy, n.d). The health care reform has placed restrictions on annual dollar limits hence allowing individuals with disability get health care services at the time they most need. Similarly, patients will get health care services on essential health benefits that include screening, preventing and treating.
