Positive organizational behavior

Positive organizational behaviour involves a company demonstrating proper work ethics, proper planning and the right behavior that contributes to its success(Luthans, & Youssef, 2017). One example of a company that exhibited positive organizational behavior was Google. Under their leadership of SergeyBrin, it was about to fall but came up with a positive OB plan that helped in reviving themselves. The co-founder planned to form a mother company which they named alphabet. Under alphabet there came the distinct companies like Google and page. This helped, and each company was expected to develop their brands. From that point of the OB plan, the Google Company was able to hit double figures to become one of the leading companies in the technological industry.

Another company in the technology industry that failed to demonstrate the attributes of positive organizational behavior was the Nokia Company. A few decades ago Nokia was the leading company around the globe in terms of mobile phone manufacturing and distribution. However, it began receiving high competition from companies like LG, Samsung and Microsoft which eventually overtook them. Instead of coming up with a strategic OB plan the management of Nokia decided to lay back and give up on the ever-growing competition from other phone maker companies. This led the company to fall from the charts and pecking order where it resulted in the laying off of around 1700 of its employeesworldwide.
