This is a 4 part assignment and requires 4 different files returned. ***** Part 1 – Assignment Write a 1-2 page paper that includes the following elements. 1. Introduction that gives a summary of the case 2. Gives a summary of possible shortcomings of the skills and traits of the primary leaders in the Case Study – That include a. CFO i. Lacked Human Skill – instead of collaborating with the team he took it upon himself to solve HWC’s problems. 1. Brief explanation of Human Skill then how it relates to the case ii. Lacks Conceptual Skill – Only worried about the P&L 1. Brief explantation of Conceptual Skill and how it relates to the case pertaining to the CFO b. CEO i. Lacks Conceptual Skill – He allowed the CFO to institute his plan and did not take in account the institution’s other departments when formulating this plan. It is very obvious the legal department was not involved 1. Brief explantation of how it relates to the case pertaining to the CEO 3. Then a description of systemic issues and strategies for system improvement applying systems thinking – That include the following 1. Systemic issues a. Each department is not working together – have a bi-weekly team meeting with all department heads to discuss the needs and plans for the department. This will allow each department to spot possible conflicts b. CFO appears to be a one man show – In the case it appears that the CFO makes organizational decisions without consulting the other departments.
