Your presentation should include Provide a background and diagnostic information about the selected addictions and behaviors. Explain the interrelationships of the addictions and behaviors. Case illustration(s) must be included to show your understanding of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Discuss cultural and social factors that affect the individual’s addictions and behaviors. Identify any ethical considerations that might occur in working with individuals in treatment. For instance, you may choose to present a case (either actual or fictitious) of a client you assess as having two or more of the addiction or related disorders listed in the DSM. Be sure to include a brief summary of background information, assessment criteria, diagnosis, and plan for treatment. Feel free to integrate your own experience with these disorders, either on a personal or professional basis. NOTE: If you are using a real patient or client, you must maintain ethical standards by either including the written consent of that person or by protecting their confidentiality and anonymity by disguising all identifying information. If you are not using an illustration from your own experience, combine two to three of the addiction topics covered in this course to create your paper. You will need to support your assignment with at least 10 references. Remember to incorporate relevant information from your annotated bibliography. Length: 12-15 pages, not including title and reference pages Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
