Results Section of Psych Tests and Measurements SDP Paper

For the Results section, you need to describe the analyses you ran in the data analysis assignment, the results you got (the numbers), and the interpretation of each result (e.g., acceptable or unacceptable reliability). You should model this write-up off of the labs and their prototypes. I would recommend providing headings in the document for each type of analysis reported. See the SDP examples for how this should be done. WHAT TO TURN IN: Your results section should be divided into two sub-sections: Existing measures describe the general properties of the preexisting scales. Note whether reliability was acceptable and what the means and standard deviations represent (generally high, low, average levels of each behavior; reasonable variability). Novel scale report all the psychometric properties you just analyzed for your novel scale using APA style. For each property you describe, include the procedure you ran the appropriate statistics an interpretation of what the statistics mean MORE DETAILS For each analysis, you will earn: .5 points for describing the statistical procedure correctly o what you ran and how you ran it. o g., “concurrent validity was examined by correlating the novel depression scale with the CESD (Radloff, 1977)” .5 points for incorporating the appropriate statistics according to APA style o Correct symbols and numbers o g. “r = .41, p < .05” 1 point for correctly interpreting the result o g., “the correlation was positive, of moderate size, and significant, providing evidence of adequate concurrent validity” Together, this statement might look like: “Concurrent validity was examined by correlating the novel depression scale with the CESD (Radloff, 1977). The correlation was positive, of moderate size, and significant, r = .41, p < .05, providing evidence of adequate concurrent validity” *Each type of validity counts as one analysis *Each method of factor analysis counts as one analysis (I have all of the data analyses and results already ran, but it is not allowing me to attach them on this website. ) I also have an example paper of exactly how it is supposed to be written and a copy of the rubric.
