Rwanda 1994: Akazu “Hutu Power” Genocide of Tutsis

This is a Rwandan genocide that led to the mass slaughter of the minority Tutsi tribe in Rwanda during the country's civil war that started in 1990. In 1993 there was a ceasefire of the civil war as the roadmap to the implementation of the Arusha declaration that was to enhance inclusivity in the government was set. However, the Hutu and members of the Akazu looked at this as a concession to the enemy demands. This led to the genocide.
