In this paper, you must discuss and analyze a Stephen King novel of your choice, the novel ‘Salem’s Lot, and at least one King short story (this may be one we discussed in class or another story of your choice). These are the minimum for required texts; you may choose to also talk about a video or other stories. Stories include: It (novel and movie) Cookie jar (short story) ***any other short stories including children You must choose one literary theory as a lens through which you will examine and discuss the works. Literary theories to include: 1)reader response Or 2) narratology In this paper you will synthesize an argument that proves the focused, clear thesis statement you designed for this assignment. This paper must be at least 20 pages long, double-spaced, not including your Works Cited page. You must follow MLA style both in your in-text citations and on your Works Cited page. Your paper must use at least the 10 secondary sources you included in your Annotated Bibliography; you may of course, use more.
