The effects of gender roles on the work life of women

I need a 7 page paper with a seperate MLA formatted works cited and a seperate MLA format bibliography page. The essay needs to be about the effects of gender roles on the work life of the woman following the below summary and outline: (Please incorporate as much of this thought and text as possible) Whether noticed or not, women are constantly groomed from a young age as to how to look, how to act, what is appropriate for them to do and what level of importance to place on looks, goals, and aspirations. It would be difficult for a woman to be self-aware enough to see the stigmas and choose to look beyond them, but then they are faced with another hurdle, men who are raised in the same environment with the same messages about women who are perhaps not as aware of overlooking those stigmas. A woman’s life becomes overcoming one hurdle after another of both her expectations and limitation of herself, but also the expectations and limitation placed upon her by others. The role that gender plays in the professional life of women have a varied and large impact, and begin with assumptions made on the part of both men and women at a young age. • Introduction • Advertising and Medias Role in early expectation setting • How the differing use of language effects success in certain environments • The role of gender roles expectations in the workplace • The gender role double-standard • Conclusion Must use quotes, summary, and/or paraphrasing from each of the following sources to synthesis the case being made. a.
