You are the Associate Dean at AB University. For some reason, your faculty members, which are predominately part-time employees and work virtually, are not attending the quarterly meetings. In fact, some are showing signs of poor performance, and others are leaving the university. Those that do attend are not engaged. They attend the meeting, but they do not speak, contribute, or seem interested. Your supervisor, the Dean of AB University, is concerned. The Dean has asked you to conduct a research project to identify reasons for the faculty attrition and disinterest. For this assignment, take the research you find and create a brief proposal for the Dean to present to senior leadership next week. In your proposal, be sure to include the following: A summary of the situation A brief review of what scholars found as possible reasons for this situation with the faculty teams A brief review of the suggestions scholars make for addressing such team situations A conclusion with professionally prepared recommendations, which include a cost/benefit analysis for each recommendation Length: 6 pages, not including title and reference pages References: Support your work with at least seven scholarly resources. Your proposal should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your submission should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Also so you will create two interview questions from your readings. Your questions should relate to leading teams and how they may apply to your upcoming leader interview.
