The report is meant to evaluate the evidences of how this course helps students in making the decision and make career planning.

2.0 Professional and Study Skills.

2.1Academic improvement and personal life changes.

In the period that I have been in this school, and been learning here, my life has changed due to the knowledge that I have accumulated. The main reason as to why I took the Business property management course is due to my desire to venture into the business world and be able to handle my own business. In this, I would be required to manage my business properties with efficiency and accuracy. For instance, when joining the school, I had a contradictory and complex emotion that I was not able to control. I was not able to cope with my newness to the school. The fact that I had my parent expectation and also the community’s on my shoulders served to add me even more pressure (Aithal, 2015). As time went on, I was able to learn how to deal with stress.

The months that followed led to struggles as I tried to adapt to my newly acquired world.  I started learning the languages and the tight schedule of learning.  My tutors provided me with guidance both professionally and at a personal level. The advice helped me to solve a lot of problems in writing. I managed to take care of myself by cooking and washing clothes. I also learned time management criteria. I had a problem with how I would plan my time. The busy schedule of classes meant that I had to prepare my time to be able to fit in.  I have thus developed a skill of time allocation through my study arrangement and sports arrangement. The settlement also helped me in feeling energetic as according to Crainer, and Dearlove, (2008).

I have developed my skills in reflection, learning more about professionalism (e.g., professional ethics), teamwork skills, English-based communication, interpersonal relationship, use of digital technologies.  Through this module, I have attained knowledge in presentations with my classmates, the ability to complete tasks. The blade has been of great help when it comes to achieving good marks in the projects.

The specific topics of the module on personal development and career management have been of importance.  The module is also organized in such a way that some workshops and group works are meant to enlighten the students and help them in practicing what they have learned in the classes. The Textbooks and practical’s works a great deal to help me enhance and also learn personal skills (Lumsden, 2005).

To be able to learn personal skills, a person must develop her awareness. Self- knowledge is the individual’s ability to master oneself. The theme of elf awareness includes developing the defensive line, appreciating individual differences, cultivation high emotional intelligence (Goetz, 2017). The module has provided lots of opportunities to reflect the current status, competences, and performances in terms of professional tests and group work.  Concerning this I have completed a self- assessment test to examine my learning style.  I developed person- awareness through realizing my strengths = that is through acting on my goals and embracing new tasks with full energy. I was able to learn about the gap that is between other internationals student who seems to be more innovative and me. The group work also enabled me to practice my interpersonal relationship skills and teamwork skills. The module has provided lots of opportunities to reflect the current status, competences, and performances in terms of the professional tests, and group work as by Bass, and Riggio, (2006).

The module helped me come into the realization that it is essential that I can defend my opinions.  I achieved this through communication and conflict management skills. Working in a group has also worked to help me to understand the importance of the group’s interests more. I have also developed emotional intelligence and become aware of others, and I have taught how to avoid potential conflicts. I have built a favorable social network through helping others, thinking in others perspective. The module has provided lots of opportunities to reflect the current status, competences, and performances in terms of professional tests and group work.  Concerning this I have completed a self- assessment test to examine my learning style.  The experience enhanced my emotional intelligence and improved my skills in handling interpersonal skills.

3.0 Career Aspiration.

My career aspiration is the need to start my own business where I will be able to manage my properties. I aspire to be a holder of various real estate and employ people to help me in the management of all the features.  Before I can manage my real estate, I will require to gain experience first. I plan on getting employed. I will work in the frontline at the very beginning in the real estate industry and amount career ladders.  I want to broaden my knowledge and be able to gain new perspectives on how to handle the real estate.

The module has provided me with some advantages for the broadening of my knowledge. The experience of being able to work in a frontline has given me direct contact with clients and even the construction companies. I want to learn more about the whole supply chain in the real estate industry.  My skills in the teamwork, interpersonal relationship, communication, self-study and reflection that I have studied in this module will enable me to become a qualified frontline worker and even own my frontline company as by Bono, and Judge, (2004).

In my fields, I will require to work with small groups. The content of the teamwork skill and interpersonal relationship will enable me to achieve this goal. Before I can start my organization, I will have risen through the management levels at my place of work and acquired the necessary skill sets and experience that is required.

This will work in helping me learn the managerial style that organizations use. The insight that I have gained on the real estate in the module and their relation to my career life will help achieve my goals (Hrebiniak,1972). For example, the module has taught me skills in communication and reflection, which will enable me to build a favorable relationship with clients, suppliers, colleagues, and senior managers shortly.

4.0 Personal Development Planning.

Having a personal mission statement is such a powerful tool since it can provide on the path to success. It also acts as a permission giver to refusal to anything destructive in your life.  Mission statements have to change every once in a while because failure to replace them provides a risk of being irrelevant.   My mission is “to apply critical principal and spiritual well-being to make a significant difference in the world.”The mission statement is quite important personally since I believe that a person cannot be able to lead other and be able to achieve in life if they a lack a strong sense of who they are and what they represent.  My balance means nurturing ethical principles and spiritual well- being to strike a balance the morals that are required to become a successful person as according Covey, (2004).

The PDP process consists of three steps: recording what people do and create the archive of material, reviewing/reflecting experiences and Planning about how to move forward. Learners should have a record of the learning process. Besides, learners should reflect on the related learning experience. This module helped me develop a range of learning materials and experienced lots of exciting things. The experience of being able to work in a frontline has given me direct contact with clients and even the construction companies. I want to learn more about the whole supply chain in the real estate industry.

There are three types of personal development planning, including professional, employment and academic. The module generates a diverse range of learning experience and has enabled me to develop all these personal planning (Jones,2013) The module concentrate on employment-related preparation as this module focuses on improving student’s personal and interpersonal skills.  The module also contains some professional skills like study and professional ethics in the real estate field that are useful in the development of planning about professionalism.

My past experiences and the ideals status gives me a chance to identify the gap of various skills.  The academic planning, this module has some assignment through which I can be able to practice skills in easy or report writing, referencing, case study. The module provides an action plan to guide for future actions to enable me to improve my skills.  The experiences that I have and am experiencing in the module has helped me to develop academic, personal development planning as per Alvesson, and Spicer, (2010).

When it comes to the aim of the personal development plan, you have to identify the objectives.  SMART defines the approach that is used with the criteria of specific, measurable, action plan, realistic and time limit.  During the definition of the PDP, I want to make sure that the five principles are fulfilled as learned from the module. I will first identify the objectives through the recognition of the gap between my current status and ideal status in the domain of employment, professional and academic.  The module has enabled me to realize that I had a weak teamwork skill in the various areas and that I needed to work on them.

The module also showed my weakness the interpersonal skill, incorporating theoretical knowledge into practical cases, mostly in the theoretical knowledge incorporation into the possible situations, through the reading the financial statement in the large organizations.

To be able to execute the plans, I need to be self- efficient to remain motivated. Through the module, I realize that record and timely review of outcomes is essential.  Through this, I can be able to understand the implementation of plans and helped my approach in my goals. It should be noted that the module is limited to time and context as it depends on the campus, students tends to acquire skills of self- learning which can support them to learn throughout the lifetime (Conley, 1998). The module has provided lots of opportunities to reflect the current status, competences, and performances in terms of professional tests and group work.  Concerning this I have completed a self- assessment test to examine my learning style.

5.0 Conclusion

Through the course, I have acquired a lot of professional knowledge and learned a lot about life. The course has been an eye opening experience that has enabled me even to have more focus on my goals and objective.  The study has also improved my personal qualities and has helped me make a plan for my future career. Besides, learners should reflect on the related learning experience. This module helped me develop a range of learning materials and experienced lots of exciting things.

To achieve my goals, I have to be ethical in everything that I handle as I have learned from the module. I have to develop leadership skills and be able to use them to be a good example and focus on my dreams and need. The module will work in helping me learn the managerial style that organizations use. The insight that I have gained on the real estate in the module and their relation to my career life will help achieve my goals.
