A Diary of the French Revolution

A Diary of the French Revolution

I faced various challenges in reading the article “A Diary of the French Revolution”: Gouverneur Morris. First, there is a mixture of the mess being passed in the reading. As a result, it is hard to get the messages being passed without reading the whole article. It tries to explain the French revolution, some of the activities which took place and their effects. I have faced difficulties in understanding the meaning of some words and phrases in the article.  I was not able to supplement the information obtained from the passage with that provided in the images. As a result, I was unable to get a clear understanding of the critical events which took place during the French revolution.

Reading a biography of a palace by Tony Spawforth was one of my worst experiences. The pages were not arranged in order. As a result, it was hard to connect the information being passed in the article. It gives an outline of the creation of Versailles from 1623 to 1879, when the French revolution began. According to the report, the revolution started when the Versailles ceased to be a royal residence. However, I have not understood the factors which contributed to the Versailles to cease to be a royal residence. From the article, i have not been able to know how the biography of the princes led to the French revolution in 1789. Although the Kings had large pieces of land for dwelling; they continued to buy more land. It was hard for me to understand the need for the vast territory. From the article, it was hard to know how the Versailles changed from the reign of Louis III to VIII. Thus, although the article tries to explain how the leadership of the kings led to the French revolution, it has been hard for me to understand the whole concept.
