After participating and an online assessment on personal communication styles, it turned out that I am a good supporter. The characteristics of a supporter communicator include calmness and collected. In my workplace, I am easily likable in my low maintenance vibes and interaction with colleagues. Supporter communicator has excellent interpersonal communication skills, and always I am free to talk about personal topics. The assessment score revealed reflective which relates to me because I find myself engaging in activities to help others. I participate in conflict resolutions as I believe to be extremely level headed. Many people like colleagues in the workplace approach me with problems or concerns, and as a good listener, I am always ready to help. Usually, when interacting with someone who is a supporter of personal communication style, one should expect an easy-going character. Supporters are open and welcoming.

To adjust and align my communication style with other styles, first I have to learn to be brief, direct and concise. Sometimes I take my time to think about a presented issue, and this makes people impatient since we have different communication styles.  Must adapt to giving response quickly and directly and avoid the fear of offending someone by telling them the truth. Another thing I must learn is to provide instant options, using a fast and quick pace. Third, I must adjust how I provide details, for instance, it is better to avoid giving people a lot of information which could be confusing or not straight. According to Hanke and Jourdain, communicating with various styles is an art, and I must adjust in order to learn. The most critical step is to understand a person’s styles as it would allow one to create harmony and avoid a state of confusion when interacting.
