Article 1 Congress Power Delegation

Article 1 delegates power to the Congress branch of the government. For instance, this branch has been given the power to borrow any amount of money on the US credit, establishing a uniformed rule of naturalization, laying and collecting taxes, paying the State debts among others roles.

2.Legislation power as mentioned in the constitution can fix one of the problems that appear to plague the Articles of Confederation. Initially, the Articles of confederation underwent problems due to the limited laws the Congress had. However, with the legislative powers in the picture, it is evident that laws made shall be necessary to control the State without the Consent of the Congress. In this case, if Congress has adequate powers unlike before, then it will be proper and favorable for the State to execute all affairs engagingly. Further evidence to this fact, is that with the legislative powers invested more in the Congress, it will be easy for the State to efficiently work with this branch before carrying out any activities pertaining to the wellbeing of the state. Initially, the Congress had powers to protect the Articles of Confederation, but the State had more powers than this branch, and in this case, it was difficult for any law to be passed. The Congress at that given time had only one chamber, and in addition to this, each given state had to vote. Furthermore, the constitution had given the enumerated powers that were explicitly listed. For instance, Congress could not collect taxes, raise an army among others. However, with legislation powers invested more to the Congress, it is easy for this branch to force the State to follow laws that are evident to provide for the wellbeing of the citizens.
