As an undergraduate from the University of Illinois in Chicago, I have substantial knowledge of the basic concepts and different frameworks of business. My academic experiences have made me very interested in the field of business. This has also affected my social skills too. For that reason, I would like to pursue my dream of attaining a Master’s in business analytics at DePaul University. I want to acquire this next level of knowledge and advance my business concepts which will help me comprehend the logic of business from a data perspective in the field of marketing.

Data analysis has been a great strength in helping me to make critical decisions as well as identify key business opportunities. Moreover, it has also helped me predict customer behavior. I have been able to reshape my interaction with customers which has helped us protect our market share. This happened in the summer of 2015 where I sold textiles to individuals and local business. During that period, I was also able to negotiate prices with manufacturers which helped me get the best prices and maximize the profits I got from the sales. I have also worked with the Agriculture Bank of China where data analysis was useful to me as I helped customers to review their contracts during negotiation meetings.

Furthermore, I have worked at a car wash shop where data analysis has helped in formulating the price and future development strategy of the shop. I want to join the course to gain a deeper understanding of business analytics in the field of marketing. This successful breakthrough in entrepreneurship was the primary motivator in wanting to advance in business analytics.

My short term goal is to specialize in business analytics especially in marketing through this master’s programme. With this knowledge, I will help grow our company and establish it in the beverage industry. My long term goal is to create a consultancy company which will help small businesses find their way to the top which will be based on data analysis.  Currently, I am working on a project that involves analyzing how different cultures will influence the development of multinational corporations in the overseas markets like the U.S. and China. I have also Created a video about helping Uganda develop water-saving agriculture and assisted in the production of quality crop seeds. Other than that I have technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
