Chapter 5 Reflection

Chapter 5 Reflection

This chapter has focused on the formulation and development of a thesis. The chapter has outlined how a writer ought to read before developing a thesis. I found this intriguing because it makes a lot of sense. It is expected that while writing a thesis, one should take a specific, clear and logical stand on the issue at hand. To achieve this, a writer should always read what others think before making their thesis. Reading other people’s ideas helps understand the situations, questions and issues that lead them make their claims.

Establishing a context for a thesis is also important as it helps the reader to understand what the thesis was based on. This works to show the credibility of the thesis to the reader since it has some basis. Merely making one’s own assertions is usually met with skepticism.
