I am Bader Alfozan. I am the third born in our family, and I am a Muslim. My ancestral land is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am in the San Diego State University after my application got accepted and I am enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and environment in the school’s vicinity.           My academic zeal and interest lie in the line of business, for I dream to be an entrepreneur/business person. I fell in love with business when I was in my early teens. I remember disturbing my father to buy me an issue of The Entrepreneur and Forbes. At first he was very hesitant due to our religious beliefs in materialism, but eventually, he saw my interest and became fond of my reading habits and various company assessments. Apart from reading the magazines, I managed to research on the leading entrepreneurs around the world such as Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, among others and attempt to draw inspiration from them.

Academics aside, I am a big fan of traveling. I am the kind of person who learns of a new place and would try my best to travel there. At times, I would daydream of being in unheard of places and would try to imagine starting life in a different location. I love football or soccer in the American context. I am a big fan of Liverpool Fc (I hope they can win the Premier League this season.). I love playing indoor games, chess, scrabble, and monopoly, in which I participated in a charity chess tournament back at home.  Also, I am a welcoming person. I like listening to other ideas because I know that everyone has their own story that they would like to share.

I learned about anthropology when I was watching the discovery channel. I became an enthusiast of that T.V channel. Anthropology to me meant a subject of linking past experiences, cultures, society and biological formation of early civilization. Through anthropology, I have drawn large interests of the forms of life that the early people could have been living. I have attended some cultural expos, and I have learned a thing or two from watching discovery T.V and other anthropology channels. I am even eager to participate in some archaeological experiments if need be.

I am looking forward to the lectures and to have fun in the anthropology class.
