The different methods used to analyze data include the following. First, we can analyze data by finding frequencies of the variables. Frequency involves finding the number of times each variable appear in the data (Manter-Meyer, n.d.). The researcher will present the information in a frequency table that will show the number of participants in each category. The values in the table can be represented as a proportion or percentage of the total. You compute a percentage by dividing each frequency by the total number of valid responses to the variable and multiply by a hundred.

Second, we can analyze data using centers. Centers are middle values that describe values that congregate. This method is significant because it gives useful information about a given variable. The statistics used to describe the center include mean, mode and median (Manter-Meyer, n.d.). In a given data, the mode represents the most commonly occurring value. The median refers to the value in the middle after arranging them in order. On the other hand, the mean refers to the center of a weighted list.

Third, you can analyze data by comparing sub-groups. The researcher can compare subgroups by setting a new table that compares responses to the given variable across another variable. In this case, we shall use frequency and center tools to examine the information in the new table.
