Digital Media Tool: Slide Presentations

The low-cost digital media tool that I can use to create a slide presentation is Prezi. The tool’s URL is https://prezi.com/. This tool is useful in reinventing the art of presentation. It allows users to create zooming slideshow presentations that capture the attention of the audience (Prezi.com, n.d.). Besides, one can insert frames and arrows to the already existing templates to enhance the quality. The different areas of the template allow one to add images, videos, and texts. The tool has multiple presentations that one can customize and they include sales, marketing, education, and business. Adapt on the fly feature allows the user to tailor his/her presentation for each audience. One does not need to flip through slides.

The challenge with Prezi is that the free account limits one to basic functions. In case one requires to access more features, he/she will have to spend a little money. Moreover, citing Mehta (2016), the limited design options include the limited background one can choose from. Another disadvantage is that one cannot add audio to the Prezi presentation. Lastly, Prezi can cause motion sickness. Users can overuse the zooming function, which can result in dizziness (Mehta, 2016). This tool can prove useful in companies. The sales force can use Prezi to communicate everything about the company. Moreover, the tool is a right platform for exhibits in a trade show.
