Does Starbucks Corporation appear to have an operating philosophy that is similar or dissimilar to other corporations in the industry? You need to analyze the philosophy of the two companies and provide your respective comments based on your analysis. (Cite your sources.)

Starbuck Corporation portrays a different operating philosophy making it unique in the market. The company gives priority to its employee. Therefore, it uses employee first philosophy, and this is a different approach compared to other corporations. The corporation’s competitors employ product-focused philosophy. Starbucks believe that it is hard for the competitors to duplicate individuals who serve products to the customers. According to the company’s CEO, Howard Schultz, Starbucks brand was built first with the employees and not the customers (Moore, 2007). They believed that the company will meet its expectations by hiring and training potential employees. Also, the corporation believes that when employees are treated well, they will, in turn, treat the customers well. Every employee working in an organization is can create more or less value. Companies will use employee first philosophy to enable them to create the possible value that will benefit the organization. On the other hand, when a corporation uses product-focused philosophy, they tend to have a vision of delivering products to meet the market demand.
