Emergency Services Organization

The Abu Dhabi Police Department distributes various emergency contact services to facilitate people in need to make distress calls to the relevant authorities in times of emergency. Depending on the nature of the crisis, say a fire, marine, air, or police incidences, it has set aside several contact numbers that the public can use. The Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health center provides that employers ensure that their workersare well versed with operational requirements in their line of work. The police department adheres to this provision to facilitate the adequate preparation of the fire-fighting department at the institution. Specifically, an OSHA regulation exists which requires the employer to train employees on security awareness. It involves the actions they can take against security breaches and the control measures that workers can institute to reduce the identified security risk (Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center, 2018). The regulation is in tandem with provision number three of the 16 Firefighters Life Safety Initiatives. It requires that the employer focuses greater attention on integrating risk management with incident management at all levels of the organization (Naum, 2010). Compliance with the occupational health and safety guidelines will helpimprove the organization of emergency services at the Abu Dhabi police department by equipping employees with the right set of skills to handle dynamic emergencies.

Compliance with the OSHA regulations within the Abu Dhabi jurisdiction will also aid the police department safely handle hazardous products which could potentially place their employees in danger. The OSH center requires employers to familiarize themselves with the requirements of all Federal and Abu Dhabi laws applicable to the hazardous material they handle(Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center, 2018). By adhering to this provision, the police department will improve the safety performance of the emergency organization. It empowers its firefighters to stop unsafe practices which are among one of the 16 Firefighters Life Safety Initiatives (Naum, 2010). The Abu Dhabi police department embraces the idea that its workers should be fully equipped to handle any form of emergencies and unforeseen incidences which may arise when responding to a distress call.

The importation and subsequent handling of hazardous materials is an OSHA regulation that also complies with the second provision of the Life Safety Initiatives. By adhering to this particular regulation, The Abu Dhabi Police department will ensure the workplace is much safer. It will achieve this by enhancing employees’ personal and professional accountability for health and safety throughout the fire service (Naum, 2010). In effect, the department will protect the welfare of its workers. Consequently, the emergency response organization for those working at the fire department will be efficient and proactive (Angle, 2015). The adherence of the police department to the Abu Dhabi OSHA Centre’s guidelines safeguards the safety and well-being of the workers. It also allows the emergency organization to work smoothly and efficiently.
