Higher Education Personal Statement

I am seeking to secure a challenging and rewarding position as a full-time manager in an eye clinic. This will enable me to utilize my skills in cross-selling glasses to patients, taking insurance for billings, and establishing a strong relationship between patients and staff. I have a wealth of knowledge that resonates well with this position, understanding that I have acquired from past experiences.

Growing up, I have seen perseverance showing growth not only in myself but also in those around me. I developed this value through close observation of my parent’s lives. My father, an entrepreneur dealing in marquees and large tents, at the time tried to set up his business. At the time, it became difficult to get loans from banks without collateral. I remember him coming home and telling me “the best things come to those who persevere.” I then learned that he dealt with his struggles when I overheard his conversation with my mother. This is what makes me have a strong interest in being a full-time manager interest media first developed the interest to be a manager after seeing first-hand how my father was effective in his businesses, which he would oversee and manage. I wanted to be like him.

I am prepared for my goal with the skill sets I own and have acquired over time. These have prepared me adequately for the role and responsibilities I may be having in the future. I am qualified and have experience in billing insurances. Am also an enthusiastic, Highly passionate Dental Assistant with experiences in preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing the materials used in dental procedures as well as keeping the patient’s mouth free of debris during proceedings. I also have skills in transferring appropriate instruments to the dentist, taking impressions, and taking x-rays. On the ‘how’ am prepared for this role, am a self-motivated individual with ambition and willingness to learn. Am an individual-oriented towards efficiency and is highly organized, and independent with a commitment to team success and assignment at hand. My academic qualifications speak for itself, as attached in the resume, something which has given me the appropriate education skills to execute my mandate in this position fully. Currently am a student at California State University expecting Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Finance this Spring, 2019, I became a  Dental Assistant in 2010 with a Certificate from the Orange Coast College, I also majored in Biochemistry in the same institution qualifying me as an Associate of Science Biochemistry in May 2010. I have also gained relevant experiences, as shown in my work experience.

This programme will help me achieve my goals as a Dentist Assistant. I have always wanted to be in the health sector not only as a practitioner but also as a manager. The part of the business that aligns with my own personal goals is the insurance billing. I have skills in this sector which would come in handy. Also in my career as Dental Assistant, my goal aligns with the mission of Dental Assistants which says the goal is to provide patients with the highest quality dental care in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment. My entire life I have always lived by my core values which have been very instrumental in shaping the foundation of my character and has had a significant influence on my inner world. Perseverance is my greatest core value as well as my skill set to interact with others around me. Once I take up this role, I will be in a position of responsibility that requires the use of these core values. As a manager, I will be responsible for not only giving directions and leading my team but also interacting with them and the patients as well. This directly fits in with my skillset of interacting with others.
