Human Resource Management and Organizational Success

Human Resource Management and Organizational Success

Introduction

Human resource management has become a central factor that influences the success of organizations. Further, emerging trends in workforce management have made it vital for employers and organizations to keep up with these trends in a bid to achieve organizational success. The author is of the opinion that shifting approaches and adapting new trends in workforce management will go a long way in improving employee morale and subsequently improving the overall organizational activities. He further explains that embracing new automated technologies in workforce management will be instrumental in the improvement of organizational activities. The author has done this by describing some of the challenges that organizations face in terms of human resource management and subsequently providing recommendations that could solve the same. I agree with the author that organizations need to keep up with the dynamics in the industry to achieve organizational growth.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations in Workforce Management

Research has shown that organizations that make an effort to comply with workforce management related laws and regulations have a higher chance of success and employee satisfaction. Further, organizations that invest in carrying out civic education about these regulations among their employees go a long way in increasing organizational efficiency(Robertson et al., 2017). Some of the key findings in regards to compliance with workforce laws and regulations include the fact that compliance is not a walk in the park. This is not only because of the ignorance that people have about these laws but also the challenges that are faced in ensuring compliance.

Another significant finding about compliance with workforce-related regulations is the fact that it could cause the organization various constraints in terms of workforce and financial resources; it is nonetheless worth every resource as it could be the highlight of the organization’s success. Organizations, therefore, need to make an active effort to ensure compliance with various regulatory frameworks.

Employer-employee Relationship and Legal Compliance

The employer-employee relationship plays a significant role in enhancing legal compliance with regulatory frameworks. This is because there are a number of employer-employee relations that are huddle in terms of ensuring legal compliance (Noe,etAl.,2017). A good example is an independent contractor and employee relationship. While many people consider this a normal employer-employee relationship, it is worth noting that there are certain employee rights and entitlements that may not apply in this kind of relationship. An employee who is on a contract may not be entitled to leave days as this depends on the terms of the contract. Whether this results in non-compliance with leave policies and regulations is, therefore, a question that needs to be addressed.

Another relationship that may pose a challenge in terms of regulatory compliance is the expatriate and the new employer relationship. The question that arises is whether the expatriate is entitled to employee rightslike leave by his initial or new employer is also a major challenge.

In my opinion, the author’s opinion on regulatory compliance cannot be universally applied to see that there are diverse employer-employee relationships that require different approaches in terms of workforce management.

Conclusion

While compliance with workforce regulations may prove difficult, it is worth noting that they are worth taking a risk for. Organizations can only remain relevant by keeping up with technological advancements and dynamics in terms of workforce management. This will go a long way in ensuring that organizations flourish and that they retain their labor force. Having strategic measures that take into account the needs of the employee is also important in enhancing organizational growth.
