Introduction to Hospitality Management

Food service and hospitality is an essential department in any company. Choosing the choice to be taken in regards to supplying food service is a necessary aspect to the organization and the policymakers as well (Walker, 2013). Choosing an alternative that works for the organization will be vital in minimizing wastages and streamlining operations for the organization. Contracting the services to an outsourcing company will be the preferred option as it gives more time and space to the board and the organization to focus on more important aspects (Calbone, 2016).

Ease of employment handling is vital to the organization since if an aspect is not working for the organization, the contract can be, or the employees get fired (Walker, 2013).  Improved efficiency and quality service delivery will be guaranteed if the organization focuses on outsourcing the services.  Subcontracting will mean the organization can expect higher returns on investment while at the same time lead to time management (Calbone, 2016).

The cons of outsourcing the services are numerous and a great concern to the organization. First, the business might risk losing control over the business processes. Monitoring these processes could become challenging if these functions are left to the outsiders (Calbone, 2016). Concerns on privacy especially if the organization might be trying to control some inside issues might become a concern. Outsourcing the services might lead to job loss as this means giving the jobs to the outsiders. Overall the choice on the model to be adopted depends on the overall goals of the organization and the resources available (Calbone, 2016).  Based on the analysis, I would highly recommend the organization to consider outsourcing the services because it only brings the services closer to the organization with ease, but it also gives freedom to the entire board.
