Me Before You Book Review

“Me before you” is a novel that every person would aspire to read. The book is about a woman by the name Louisa who is desperate for a job to sustain her.  Her search for job leads her to a care giving role to a physically challenged man from a wealthy family by the name Will Traynor. This physically challenged man had a successful life as a businessman before a tragic accident that left him paralyzed. Will had also lived an adventurous life that was brought t o an abrupt end after being knocked by a motorcycle. As a result of the accident, the parents of Traynor decide to hire a caregiver who would ensure that their son lives a life that he deserved.   After the accident and realizing that he was paralyzed, Traynor attempts suicide and the parents saw it worthwhile to hire a caregiver in the name of Louisa.

Though the task was not easy on the side of this young woman, she strives a lot to ensure that the disabled young man lives a good life. Before accepting the caregiver role, the young lady worked as a waiter in a café and was from a low-income family that desperately needed this income. Louisa would take Traynor to short outings and other adventures. It is, however, prudent understanding that the author gives a description of how the two goes on a holiday to Mauritius and confesses that she loves him and could live happily together. In an attempt to convince him to fall in love, Louisa decides to change a lifestyle and begin an adventurous life. Prior meeting Will, the lady never enjoyed life, and it was difficult to be compatible with a young man who had lived life to the fullest. Gradually the two love birds become come more compact and became part of each other. In essence, the book explains how Louisa brought happiness to a man who had no reason to live again.

‘’Me before you’’ is a romance novel that describes love between a young lady aged 26 and a young man of thirty-five years. The novel is very emotional where the author creates a scenario where a person sets aside her interests for the sake of another person’s happiness.  It is a book that can make one cry since some of the situations in the novel are provocative o tears.  Despite the rudeness and temper from Will, Louisa is determined to ensure that he lives a life that he aspired to live. The author never uses a lofty language and ensures that the character’s flaws are exposed. Moyes have tried to exhibit two different traits of a person with earthly riches but lacks happiness while a poor girl with a source of happiness and the author has used the two characters to create an affair worth remembering.  Though the book is quite emotional, I find it tempting to re-read it even a hundred times.
