Middle Ages to French Revolution

I think that the world is built purposely for one to endure a hard life rather than a well dreamt of life, especially the one we would ever daydream while most of us were kids or in our early teen life. A reason for the world to make us suffer is for us to yearn an opportunity to live to see the next day. But I would still wonder if we could still be living each day as depicted in the Myth of Sisyphus where a person is in total damnation of trying to push a rock over a mountain for it to roll downwards again so that you must start the endless loop all over again.

Finding the meaning of life in such a scenario could be futile, but still, it is possible to see its purpose. Finding a purpose to live through suffering requires a person to be rebellious in their spirits that would make them neglect any form of negativity and frail energy. To live through the life of suffering in an attempt of finding the meaning of life is essential for there is no instance of avoiding grief in life. This entails that a person should be ready to make the best out of any mishaps in life by transforming the calamity to victory. Furthermore, it is impossible to change any outcome of live, whether joy or suffering, meaning that we should be ready to pass through any forms of challenges, for life shall never be as pleasant as we had hoped for in our early days (Viktor Frankl on Love, Suffering and the Meaning of Life).

There are instances through which we find suffering to be meaningless. From the (Dronen) description of The Myth of Sisyphus, the condemned victim would find it pointless to stop pushing the rock up to the mountain for it could be absurd for self-reconciliation of escaping the endless loop.  It is near to impossible to find what one wants in life, so suffering for not achieving a specific obligation should not deter one from leaping faith. Camus specifies that the punishment of Sisyphus signifies our day to day activities of trying to find the meaning of life only for us to crumble and start all over again. In reference to the symbolism, Camus pinpoints that we could try and visualize Sisyphus as a happy person.

Another reason why suffering is meaningless is the basis of the lack of acknowledging the existence of suffering. Humans tend to believe they should live in a particular type of a happy simulation that everything is blissful, neglecting the possibility of an unpleasant ordeal that is yet to happen, only at times when these events occur that make people stumble and begin suffering.

In conclusion, the Myth of Sisyphus enlightens me on living a life with no hope and any expectations of a pleasant outcome. As long as one acknowledges that we are all living in the same rock pushing scenario for the rock to fall again from the mountain, we then should be able to reflect life as a struggle and suicide can never be the last resort.
