Organizational Vision

The success of a transformation in any organization majorly depends on leaders and managers who have a direct relationship with the group of people going through the transformation by influencing, supporting and executing change within their areas of jurisdiction. The surest way of evaluating effective and motivating leaders is by having a check on their performance and their relationship with the seniors and juniors within the organization. Effective and motivated leaders accept and understand that their support is essential to the success and always determined to the full achievement of the organization. A popularly known movie A Beautiful Mind is generally about visionary leadership and motivation change (Brian et al., 2001). From a humble background, he engages in secret cryptography work resulting in a complete transformation of his whole life.

The movie depicts the various elements of the vision that is portrayed by multiple characters. First, a leader should have a big dream to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. For instance, John Nash made very many important and surprising discoveries in his early career stages to become a mathematician genius (Brian et al., 2001). He was determined and worked hard to ensure that all the goals that he set for himself are met. It is a collective requirement of the leaders as well as the employees to ensure that they have a big dream but achievable. Dreams always act as a motivation behind achieving a given goal as set by stakeholders in an organization. Secondly, a leader should be charismatic to encourage and engage all employees towards achieving organizational activities. They should promote teamwork to ensure that every employee works with each other to achieve the objectives. Leaders should have qualities that demand respect from the employees and ensure that employees follow their instructions and do their duty with minimal supervision.

To ensure that the organization expands its customers base, the leader should be a risk taker to exploit some areas that are not occupied by the various business due to reasons such as insecurity. However, he/she should be cautious to ensure that the firm does not incur losses. As depicted by John Nash, he worked to overcome various obstacles and exploited multiple places that were risky making him successful. Risk-taking makes the organization to learn to adapt to any situation in an organization and make sure they achieve their goal even during hard times. A leader should serve as an example to the employees by giving them the direction to follow. The employees, on the other hand, should try to copy and emulate their leaders as this would consequently promote the success of the organization or company where they work.

The sources needed to implement the change includes Alicia, his student whom he later got married to, Christopher Plummer, the psychiatrist who diagnosed his mental status, Ed Harris who is the federal agent of the Soviet plot (Brian et al., 2001). Additional sources include the University community such the teaching and the non-teaching staffs. The teaching staffs gave him moral and technical support that made him win the Nobel Prize mainly through research. The change evident in John Nash life was a revolutionary one. He arranges and composes change by regaining power in the organization despite the challenges. John Nash is self-motivated and does everything possible to change his life. As a result, his life completely changed particularly after the end of his Ph.D. Finally, John Nash is awarded a Nobel Prize because of his hard work and academic excellence in the field of Mathematics.

The knowledge which John acquired enabled him to help the society at large during the Soviet plot. John used his leadership skills and experiences to transform the lives of his students that consequently made him win the Nobel Prize. Secondly, Alicia, John’s wife protected him from the psychological stress by taking him to the hospital. Good relationships that he created with the people who he interacted with help him in being a team leader who was able to work with anybody around the world. A leader should have a good character and act as a role model for many people who follow them. Nash was able to attract many people to him due to the excellent character that he had. Even though many things lead to him being awarded doctorate, the excellent character also contributed by large as this made the lecturers love him.
