Product and Sales Presentations

Speakers have four methods of delivery at their disposal. These techniques allow individuals to pass a message to an audience at the stated appropriate moments. The first method takes the form of an impromptu which provides the least time possible to deliver a piece of information. It could be a speech or a request to read a vote of thanks or a scheduled announcement. Here, it is crucial that an individual knows the main point, and remain relevant to the purpose of the speech.

Secondly, a manuscript involves the use of texts provided beforehand. These manuscripts could be outsourced or prepared by the speaker at their convenience. Reading in a letter-perfect manner to an audience may be challenging, especially when there is a need for the speech to appear unforced. Most addressees find natural speeches, talks, and discussions more appealing than those that seem to have a rigid and scripted outlook.

Another method of delivery is memorization, which refers to a situation where a speaker has to memorize a speech fully, word by word, from the beginning to the end. This technique is one most fashionable yet very challenging to master. However, it highly depends on the proficiency of the orator, as it is imperative for it not to sound like a recitation.

The extemporaneous method, finally, involves a significant amount of research in the quest to deliver a quality speech or presentation. The tasked individual prepares a statement and internalizes the message so that he or can speak to an audience, employing eye contact while at the same using notes that outline the key areas of the speech. This system allows the speaker to be more conversational and flexible in their address.

While addressing the media, one of the essential things that individuals may consider is the authenticity of the information. Since media platforms reach a substantial portion of a population, it is imperative that a speaker avoids the use of unclarified details that may mislead the people. Most audiences find methods that are conversational and flexible more appealing. In light of this, an individual may employ a system that allows for eye contact and the creation of a connection with addresses. This structure of narration or speech-giving may be more memorable than those which are rigid and appear as recitations.

Employing traditional methods of delivering a speech to an audience achieves the objective. However, the use of visual and auditory aids makes the message more engaging, enjoyable and, introduces a lasting effect. Individuals may use PowerPoint presentations that include the use of pictures, videos, and soundtracks during a performance, the displaying of projects, or, in teaching. Alternatively, one may use paper handouts which are cheaper and still engaging with the audience as they may include drawings and further illustrations. Also, a speaker may employ a few props to spice up the conversation with an audience.

The purpose of any form of communication is to get a good response. In light of this, it is the sole responsibility of the speaker to ensure that they are efficient in their delivery. To achieve this, it is critical that the individual first establish the appropriate channels of communication and the suitable delivery method. Subsequently, he or she should attempt to conduct research on the present barrier and how to overcome them. It will also be a valuable addition if the person understands their audience to facilitate adequate planning. For instance, in a sales presentation for Colgate, it will be central to the achievement of the objective if one knows the audience will comprise mainly of children, adults or mixed populations to ensure that the message reaches the targets.
