Professional Presentation in Communication

Skills for proper presentation are some of the most crucial factors that contribute to effective communication. Presentation skills allow someone to pass out the message better in a manner that is understandable by everyone. To achieve success, there is a need to have confidence in one’s self. Trust is crucial as it shows that one is competent in the message. One of my key strengths as a public speaker is the use of compelling content material. When I present, I always give consistent arguments. I organize my thoughts starting from the introduction point then to the body part and finish with a conclusion. This structure ensures that the audiences do not get frustrated and they leave the place of presentation after having grasped all the content necessary (Jabeen, and Ghani, 2015). Moreover, proper presentation helps me authenticate my voice so that I can be more audible. It is always essential for me to be loud for the audiences to hear me.

Despite this success, I usually have a weakness in maintaining contact with my audience. I sometimes become nervous and prefer having contact with the slides but not my audience. This nervousness makes the presentation faster without focusing on the audience. To get the strength, are usually wants to understand the topic so that I can be more engaging to my viewers. I also use simple visual aids that have bright and clear colors as well as speaking freely and confidently. There are several things that I could do to improve on this weakness. I need to practice more on being calm and controlling my nervousness before I begin a presentation. This could be through taking a deep breath or telling a joke to start with. This will also build a rapport. Working on this presentation method and skill will help me become a complete presenter and one that is professional in the work and a formal setting. It will also help me game the best experiences in a formal environment so that I can succeed in the organization.
