Service design encompasses the activity of planning and organizing. Precisely, service design plan and organize infrastructure, people, material component and communication. However, it does so improve its quality and also the interaction with its customers. On the other hand, manufacturing design entails proactively designing products.  The products are designed so that they become easy to manufacture. Similarly, the activity involves the optimization of all the manufacturing functions (Davenport, 2013). Some of the functions include fabrication, assembling, testing the products, procuring, delivering and repair. Besides, design for manufacturability also, involve ensuring best cost is available for the customers, safety, compliance to the regulations and customer satisfaction.
