Social Media and Teenagers

Introduction

Technological advancements have revolutionized the way people do thing within society. The impacts that it has had on the people are enormous, and most of them are positive. However, despite the positives that it ha come with, it has also resulted in many negatives in society. For instance, social media have changed the operations of teenage children who use social media to make friends rather than having physically present friends. When iot comes to the impacts of such social media addictions on teenagers, it also comes with criminal activities such bullying on the teenagers by the other children who take advantage of the nature of the social media.  In the social media, the teenagers and other adults can take advantage of the anonymous 5nature of the social media to perform bullying act on the innocent children who are nervous on the internet (Boyd, 2014). The different types of bullying acts on social media include hacking the account of the young teenagers  pointing activities that are wrong about the other people. The other is threatening the social media user and forcing them to pay some amount if they supposed to get heir hijacked account back (Marwick, 2011). This is an illegal act that affects social media users. When conducting this research, the best way to go about it is through looking at the past  literature about the same topics that have been done in the past and analyzing them before making conclusions about the cause of bullying in social media.
