Guidance for Presentation Structure
Here are some useful ‘prompt’ questions to help structure your presentation:
Description and Introduction to the Resource
1) What is the selected resource (e.g. leaflet, website, video, app)?
2) Why was the resource developed? (i.e. what was the purpose, including if it was to meet
an identified need or health priorities – local or national etc.)
3) For whom was the resource developed?
4) How was the resource developed? (including who was consulted)
5) How is the resource used?
Critical Review and Evaluation of the Resource
1) Was the development of the resource justified?
2) How does this resource fit with existing health promotion or preventive resources
available in this area of need?
3) Is there any evaluation of this resource? If so, was this helpful?
4) Is the resource appropriate for the target group?
5) How would you improve the resource and why?
6) Drawing on health promotion and any other relevant theory and research, in what way
would you recommend that the resource be used within an intervention and why?
7) What is your overall evaluation of this resource?
