The Concept of Feminism

Part 1

Several ideologies have been adopted by several people in various parts of the world. The concept of feminism is one of those trends that the current generation subscribes to significantly. It involves championing for the rights of women in a manner that tends to elevate their social standing. In most cases, this arises at the expense of the males. On the other hand, gender is a term that is used to explain the existence of an individual as male or female. It defines the existence of human beings based on the aforementioned categories.

Part 2

Hook (2000, p14) addresses some issues that need to be addressed by people at any given time. She specifically talks about issues such as reproductive rights. The current generation has been affected by several issues because of the notion that the male species is superior to their female counterparts. She also addresses other issues that are related to violence that is meted against women in society. Therefore, she empowers women to be privy to their rights in any setting where they might find themselves. She is correct on most of the things that she mentions. However, a person might think that she is trying to focus on women empowerment.

Part 3

I wake up in the morning, my dreams arise.

I meditate on what the day, I have livid thoughts and I sigh.

I have to be strong; the children need soup and some rice.

I will never tire, for them, I shall forever sacrifice.

I toil the entire day; hard work is my only spice.

Part 4

The author, Enloe (2014, p17) reiterates that we have relationships with the women that we are trying to understand their lives. This bit is factual in several ways. Femininity is a concept that has been preached over a long period. My life has changed because I believe that an element of balance should exist across all genders. I feel comfortable about the ideas when they root for inclusivity. However, I detest the idea of focusing on women in international politics. My idea of fairness across the board can be helpful in this context.
