Theatre Greeks Subculture

Goth subculture arrived earlier than other subculture and had continued to spread and diversify throughout the world. Despite its presence in most parts of the world, some other subcultures have also arrived hence influencing many communities. One of the subcultures that have come in existence is the theatre Greeks. Even though most subcultures had a taste in music and fashion, they had different values which could contradict the dominant culture. For example, the theatre Greeks had values which opposed the benefits of the dominant culture like that of the goths subculture.

Theatre Greeks require that the group must listen to show tunes and music that is different from the music of other groups. They were opposed to wholly instrumental music and could only use instruments to accompany singing which was doubling of the vocal line. Most of their music was written using letters which opposes what other cultures were using, and they were ways to express gods and the world around them. All the men from the group must learn to participate in musical and theatrical events as either spectators or the participants. Everybody in the group had to take part in the music which was roughly the human condition and experience as they exist in human beings.

The group also had to wear clothes that were distinct from other group’s style of dressing. Both women and men had to wear designer clothes that were peculiar, and all the group had to reform to it. This was part of their life, and this makes many people stay inside their bubbles and keep themselves distant from other groups. As a result, many of the members expressed themselves freely and were not afraid to embrace it everywhere. As a result, they were very outspoken, and this makes their culture to spread in most parts of the world.Due to this, their culture becomes dominant over other cultures as people tried to reform to it.

The storytellers within the groups recited myths in songs to augment their melody. The hymns were performed to gods, and the participants could sing, dance and play instruments. This made their music so different from other music from other groups. The music text was thoroughly composed, and each line of the text was basically of different melody. The melody of the song was to fit the text and not the text to fit the melody. This is far different from the dominant culture where text fits the melody rather than melody to fit the text.
