France is  a country located in Western Europe. Its capital city is Paris. France receives the highest number of foreign tourists around the world, with anestimated number of 82 million annually. Visitors are attracted by the ancient cities, magnificent countryside, and stunning architecture. The castles of the Loire Valley, Brittany, and Normandy are major attraction sites(Boniface,2016).

Disneyland is currently the top tourist destination in Europe. It draws attracts crowds from all over the world, with around 15 million visitors each year. Disney village offers them many entertainment venues, restaurants and memorable shopping experience. Also, the  Eiffel Tower is one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. It is the second most visited monument in the world.  Almost 7 million, people ascended this French treasure in 2015. Some use the elevator while others climbed the 1664 steps by foot from bottom to top.

The Louvre Museum is one of the largest sceneries in the world. The impressive art has a vast collection of designs and artefacts. Besides, France hosts the worlds’ largest cycling competition. The Tour de France is an event that happens in the nation’s capital every year. This occasion attracts tourists from all over the world yearly.

The French Alps has is a wide variety of summer and winter activities available to visitors, which attracts an average of 60-80 million tourists each year (Mason, 2015). Some activities include rock climbing, mountaineering, biking, snowboarding, and skiing.

Also in France, there is the Château de Chenonceau in the Loire Valley. This scenery cuts across through River Cher, with pathways for boats at the bottom.  It is the most visited chateau in France and is remarkable for its beautiful gardens. It was restored after being bombed in World War II(Boniface,2016).
