An advertisement (ad) is a well-documented script that is used to show the benefits and strengths of using a specific set of products or services. Companies used ads to try and reach out to a broad scope of customers both at the local and international levels. The secret to penetrating the vast markets mainly lies in companies and organizations having a substantial investment in the advertisement and conducting of media commercials. Some of the media platforms that are primarily used to advertise include facebook, youtube, televisions, radios, newspapers among others. Large companies such as coca cola and Amazon have leaped substantial rewards due to their emphasize and strength in advertising.

One of my favorite international commercial ads is that of ching’s secret masala. Ching’s secret masala is a food additive or spice that is used to add flavor to food. Ones the masala is attached to the food and then gets heated they taste sweet and also look like they have been freshly cooked. In the ad Sridevi, an Indian born woman shows the viewers on some of the ways that one can turn last nights leftover rice into some freshly cooked rice within some minutes using the masala(Ching’s Secret, 2017).

To make the commercial to be suited to the American market, one thing that can be done to the ad is to use characters that are of the American origin or those that the citizens of America are familiar with. Secondly, branding and naming should also be changed to suit the American market. Ching’s secret masala seems to be of an Asian setting hence attracts more of the Asian customers rather than the American ones (Ching’s Secret, 2017). By changing the name of the product into an American English name, this could help in the penetration to the American market. Lastly, it should be elaborate and easy to understand where all the citizens will be able to get the concept behind the ad.
